During your stay

- Social Distance: We are not mandating social distancing. If you have concerns and want to participate at a distance, please contact Meaghan Kelly on slack.
Other precautions but always use your best judgement
- Water safety: you should also avoid tap water and ice, and drink bottled water instead. Be aware of altitude sickness symptoms, like headaches and nausea, and give yourself time to acclimate.
- Food safety: when eating street food, avoid stalls where the same person handles raw meat and other foods, or where there's no place for the vendor to wash their hands. Also, avoid stalls where food is left out in the open air or sun for long periods. When eating fruit and vegetables, you can douse them with fresh lime juice to kill bacteria. You can also stick to fruit that can be peeled, like bananas and mangoes.
- Mosquitoes: you can protect yourself from mosquito bites by wearing long-sleeved shirts and pants, and using insect repellent that contains DEET or other active ingredients. You can also stay in accommodations with air conditioning or screens.
