Am I required to attend Space Jam? 

  • No! This event is completely optional and no justification needed if you choose not to attend. We also understand that folks have responsibilities at home so if you can only attend part of the event we can make that happen. We support everyone’s decision to do what is right for them.

What is covered by Nava for the event?

I booked my flight, now what?

  • Ensure you've completed registration, you will receive a confirmation email when your registration is complete.
  • Keep visiting this website, especially the homepage for new information and action items.

 

How will I transfer from the airport to the hotel?

  • The Offsite co. is assisting with the planning of Space Jam 11 and will coordinate group transfers to and from SLC. More information on this soon. 

 

Can I expense my ride from my home to the airport?

  • Yes, please charge your Uber, Lyft or taxis from home to and from the airport on Ramp.

 

Can I drive to the retreat instead? 

  • Driving is entirely up to you, but we will need to arrange for a parking spot at the resort. When you RSVP, please specify "driving or flying" when you approach the question. 

 

Can I leave early if I want to or cancel my trip closer to the event?

  • If you have already committed coming to Space Jam, we ask that you try your best not to cancel unless it is an emergency scenario because we cannot refund your room, meals, and activities for the event.  If there is a need to stay back for your mental or physical wellbeing or the wellbeing of others around you, we will absolutely honor that.

 

What are the accommodations like?

 

Can I bring a plus 1?

  • This is event is only for individuals at the company, unless you need someone to travel with you for medical reasons. 

 

Can I come pre-retreat / stay post-retreat

  • Of course, but again, you are liable for all expenditures pre/post retreat dates for you and all guests joining. Including but not limited to: room rates, taxes & fees, meals, and excursions. *no reimbursement exceptions made for team members staying outside of retreat dates. 
  • Please register with your desired arrival date and departure and send an email to The Offsite co. notifying the planning team of your personal extension. Requests to stay at the resort outside of retreat dates are not guaranteed, as the hotel will have limited availability this time of year. 

 

I have flight questions or booking complications. What should I do?

Will I be expected to work during the retreat?

  • We will have a combination of company programming, coworking time, and company bonding. We trust you to manage your time accordingly to attend the events while managing your work priorities. Please move any meetings for Space Jam days and try to get ahead of your individual work to be present at the event. That being side, we know sometimes things get in the way and we will have a coworking space if you need to do solo work throughout the event.  

 

Will all activities be located onsite?

  • There will be a mix of onsite and offsite activities. Agenda page with full itinerary coming soon.

 

Is downtime provided?

  • Yes, we will have set daily downtime blocks, so you can recharge your social battery, work, or call home to say, "hello"!

What happens if I get sick in Utah?

  • Please alert Maddie Meyers or your department lead and stay in your hotel room. Any shared health information will be kept private but please do let them know so that they can provide assistance should you need it and ensure you are getting meals. Your safety and health are important to us!
  • Nava Benefits will help make safe and comfortable arrangements for you, including lodging, flights, and support until you can safely travel back home.
