Description

Experience the story of chocolate in Mexico City. Allow yourself to be carried away by the beautiful craftsmanship and evolution of chocolate making in Mexico. The tour will provide the history behind cacao cultivation, and the chocolate making process. After the guided tour you'll have the privilege to use your hands in the Metate Chocolate workshop, where you'll grind cacao, sugar, and cinnamon in a metate to make chocolate. This hands-on experience is only a 6-minute drive from the hotel.

Location: Museo del Chocolate, C. Milan 45, Juárez, Cuauhtémoc, 06600 Ciudad de México, CDMX, Mexico (6 minute drive from hotel, 15 minute walk) Departure Notes: If you would like to coordinate a carpool, meet in the hotel lobby and arrange directly with your activity group.

Arrival Notes: when you arrive, please head to the admission desk and ask for Karla, she will be expecting the CoinTracker group and will introduce the group to the tour guide to begin the adventure for the afternoon. Tour is roughly 60 minutes or less and the chocolate making workshop is anywhere from 1 - 1.5.
